fr Kpélé Adéta is on the national road N ° 5 and it is at 150 km of lomé the capital of Togo. It is distant om the town of kpalimé of 28 km. And Ferme Fuentes is 5 km far from Danyi Apéyéyémé, ask to go SETIVI KOPE when you are at Apéyéyémé and the road would be find before the village of Dzogbegan, where monastery

Our partners in this project are the local sections of Kplélé and the village development committees and also Our partners are members of the Fuentes farm. A group of disadvantaged people who want to unite their efforts for development through agriculture. We have university students who want to deepen and share connsaissances


Description of the Work

During this period, the aim will be to organize theoretical and practical training on youth volunteering for the benefit of sustainable development. This site, which aims to be a site of theory and practice, will have training from 06 to 12 July. A project funded by the Innovation Fund of the German-African Youth Initiative (AGYI-IF).
(AGYI is a joint initiative of the Federal Government of Germany and the African Union Commission (AUC)).

During the training, the following modules will be held at Adeta for the theoretical part:
 Volunteering, a pledge of peace and sustainable development;
 Project design and management;
 Notion of permaculture;
In practice, at Danyi Apeyémé, at Fuentes farm, the volunteers will participate in:
 The development of the farm (creation of sectors and zones);
 The construction of stables;
 The search for water;
 Animal feeding;
 Animal care;
 The manufacture of natural compost;
 Planting fruit and forest trees;
 Planting medicinal trees;
 The creation of spaces with plants from Europe (plants or inches of mint, strawberries, raspberries, vines, apple fruits ...);
 Harvests;
 Preservation of products;


Accommodation & Food

For Adeta, Volunteers will be accommodated in the home of FAGAD. There is electricity and water. The toilet and shower are a bit modern. in the bedroom there are beds and mattresses. The internet is possible if people pay the credits.
The food is both Togolese and European. All is done together by volunteers. They are often helped by young people from villages
and for Danyi, volunteers will sleep in the bedrooms of the farm. Everybody would have bed provide . You’ll have males room and ladies room. Every Room have shower and toilet . Solar power energy for electricity: light and to charge mobile. The internet is possible if people pay the credits.
Food will be African and European. Everyone will participate. Now , most of the alimentation would come from the farm or from neighbors farms. Fresh and bio food They are often helped by young people from villages


Location & Leisure

Adeta : Location:
Kpélé-Adéta is a town of some 15 146 inhabitants. It is the principal settlement of the Kpélé Préfecture and the headquarters of FAGAD are based there. It is situated on the cross roads Kpalimé – Atakpamé , Notsé – Danyi. There is a post office, and police commissariat and a medical – social center.T he nearest hospital is the American Baptiste hospital, 4 kms from Adeta.

Cultural activities :
Percussion (Djembé) and dance around the fire
Day with a family; a day of immersion in the life of an African family organized around the following themes: animism, the election of the village chief, traditional marriage, or a day in the field.
And for Danyi : Danyi Apeyemé
The farm « Fuentes « is situated a 5 kms from Danyi Apeyémé, the seat of the Prefecture of Danyi; a large town where you can find a post office, a poice commissariat, a hospital center and a law court. Danyi Apeyémé is around 15 kms from Adeta. The farm have solar energy but not enough to charge everything.

Leisure:
 Touristic sites to visit ; the ancestral site of Fiatoé, the Dzanipé Falls with their beautiful waterfalls, the Kpioné Falls, the Plateau of Dyani ( visit to the Monastery of Dzogbegan and it’s circular chapel constructed of wood ), Mount Kloto ( whence it is possible to glimpse Lake Volta in Ghana on a clear day ), the village of Kuma Konda together with the château Viale, Mount Agou ( the summit is the highest point in Togo;986 m ),
 Possibility of discovering as well the north of Togo ( the large towns like Atakpamé, Sokodé, and Kara, the rock cutting of Alédjo ( the road passes through an enormous rock cutting ), the region of Tamberma, the Naimtougou Falls…) and the Nangbéto Dam with the lake where hippopotamuses live;.
 Artistic activities: learn the techniques of batik, sculpture,
 Cultural activities: percussion ( Djembé drums ) and dancing around the fire;
 A day with a family: a day steeped in the daily life of an African family organized around the following themes: animism, putting the village chief on his throne, traditional marriage, a day in the fields.

hope to see soon motivated and fexible volunteers .NB: if you are not from partener association or from organisation member of CCIVS, you'll pay 70 euros more for registration fees and solidarity funds.
