Mòvesi APS is an organization dedicated to fostering human and ecosystem regeneration processes in inland areas at risk of depopulation in Southern Italy. Operating primarily in the Salerno area, it stands out for its use of permaculture methodologies and non-formal education. Its mission is to promote a culture of inclusion and acceptance, including through international mobility opportunities.



The project's goal is to create a bio-pool that enhances biodiversity and the usability of a site that serves as a community center, a place of agricultural and cultural production, where best practices based on the principles of permaculture, biophilia, and ecosophy can be experimented.

Description of the Work

During the camp, volunteers will work on building a bio-pond. This includes a shared design phase and a more extensive manual labor phase: transporting stones and creating a soil reinforcement, creating a filter area, waterproofing, and planting aquatic and marsh plants for phytoremediation. Work hours will be 4-5 hours per day.

Study themes of the project

Italian language and culture course with an experienced professional teacher and activities using non-formal techniques. Lessons include a theoretical component for learning the basics of the Italian language and culture, and a practical component focusing on the culinary aspects of Italian cuisine. A paper and regenerative agriculture workshop is also available, as is the care and micro-maintenance of the Mimi and Peppino educational garden.

Requirements

The camp requires a flexible attitude and good adaptability. Some of the work will require a fair amount of physical effort. It's not suitable for those with dust or pollen allergies.
